JEAN JACQUES EIGELDINGER - SWITZERLAND
Musicology professor at Geneva University. Chairman of the Romanic Section at the Swiss Musicological Society the founder of which he was. In 1976-1988 he was editor of "Revue musical de Suisse romande". Held courses at the Laval University in Quebeck, Ecole Normale Superieur in Paris, took part in many musicological conferences in Europe, Canada and the United States. The Professor's main interest is the history and performance of the nineteenth century music, as well as playing the piano. Published over 50 scholarly works and articles. Many of them were on Chopin. Jean Jacques Eigeldinger has been awarded the Order of Merit for Polish Culture.
