Graduated from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris in the class of piano, accompaniament and chamber music. In 1957 he won the first prize at the International Competition in Geneva. Has been giving concerts in most European countries, in the United States, Canada, Brazil, China. Took part in major music festivals in Paris, Berlin, Bordeaux, Hong Kong, Besancon. Cooperated with famous conductors, among others with Charles Munch, Richard Hickox, Paul Paray. Made recordings with the works by Schumann, Weber, Brahms, Liszt, Satie, Chopin and of the complete piano works of Ravel. He is also concerned with teaching, conducting piano classes in the conservatories in Paris and Geneva, as well as holding master piano courses in Europe and the Far East. He sat on the juries of international competitions in Munich, Leeds, Geneva, Dublin and others. He is chairman of the International Nadia and Lili Boulanger Foundation.
