

SERGIO PERTICAROLI - ITALY
Graduate of the Santa Cecilia Coservatory in Rome. In 1952 he won the International Music Competition in Geneva and two years later the first prize at the F. Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano. Since then has been appearing at the world's most prestigious concert halls both as a soloist and with the leading European and American orchestras. He cooperated with such distinguished conductors as among others Claudio Abbado, John Barbirolli, Wolfgang Sawalish, Kiril Kondrashin, Lorin Maazel. He is also a highly regarded teacher, professor at the conservatories in Florence and Rome. Holds master classes in Japan, Austria, Germany, France, USA. Many times he sat on the jury of international piano competitions, among others of those of Busoni, Casadesus, Casagrande, Chopin. Has made records for Philips, Fonit, Cetra, Le Club Fran(ais du Disc, Ermitage.
